Dr. Martin Luther King Holiday GrubMarch
MLK 365 "Walk, Run, March, & Crawl...to Keep the Dream Alive"
On January 17th, in celebration of the Martin Luther King Holiday, GrubCrawl will be hosting the official MLK365 GrubMarch following the annual commemorative march from City College. Celebrate the wide diversity of resturant offerings and tasty tidbits this great city provides on this momentous occasion to participants, one and all. All lunch counters are OPEN so exercise your "civil right" to eat, drink, and pursue happiness with your fellow citizen, as we rest, re-charge, and replenish (after working up an appetite during the morning march), with a repast fit for a "KING"! The GrubMarch begins at 1 p.m. at the Sacramento Convention Center on 13th & "K" Street and wraps up around 5 p.m., but the dream and the memories of this event will live on and on...

Christmas Crawl III
On Saturday, Dec 18th (the X-Mas Crawl) we will be starting the night by "racking up" @ the Blue Cue at 5 p.m. located at 1004 28th Street and meander our way around Midtown, spending about an hour spreading "Holiday cheer" at each venue, enjoying free eats and discounted drinks. Next up, we'll keep our spirits bright at the famous Limelight, where the good grub and stiff drinks are sure to get us "tight"! It's just across the way...up "J", (we're gonna walk,...so leave your sleigh!) If you haven't guessed, and got it right,...there WILL be a Caroling Contest with PRIZES tonight! Up next,...TexMex, for the best mex in the west! Spicyhot, homemade Tamales won't be the only gifts we'll be unwrapping at J streets newly-remodeled and reopened "Casa de Caliente" where the authentic Blue Agave Margaritas will have you "wrapped up" in a hot second! Now, over midway through this Crawl, we will be stopping by Tamaya Sushi where the Sake-Bombs will be "raining" down on the Crawlers as Santa's "sushi" Helpers stuff our bellies with specialty rolls the size of yule logs! Finally, we'll feel the holiday glow at Aura, bringing the party back to "the Block" and ready to dine and dance with the friends we've made "Deckin' the Halls" on the Christmas Crawl!
(Optional) Bring a wrapped gift, (under $5, please) for the White Elephant (Yankee Swap) Gift Exchange along the way,...but don't expect much in the way of "Christmas Carols" from me...(I like to drink, and I like to sing,....but most people prefer to hear me drink!)
